Atom Hockey

Michael had his first exhibition game tonight for the year. They tied the game 1-1, and Michael scored the one goal, playing defense! Just like his brother, they both got the first goal for the team. They were pretty excited.

It was a pretty good day today. Janet came over today to work in the office, so that felt good. She's a big help, and so good. The boys and I worked on spelling, oral language, math and music. With Michael's piano, we're breaking the songs down into lines, so he only has to play one line a day, but about 10 times and only about 5 minutes each song. That piece of advice really helped Michael....makes it less overwhelming and he did well with it today. We started that with guitar tonight as well....we're going to break the song down into phrases and play that over and over. For being late at night, Nicholas was good with that.

October

Well, it's been a little while again. Last week was a busy one.....what happened. Bob volunteered at Reading Week so he read a book to a Grade One class, and a chapter to a Grade Five class. That was pretty cool! He said he enjoyed the Grade one class.

Nicholas had his first hockey game for the year. They lost, but he scored their one and only goal, and playing defense! We were pretty excited for him.

The four of us went to a Drug presentation from CleanScene. It was very good. I didn't expect the man to tell us he had been convicted and in jail for six years! He was doing drugs, but now he's clean and he told us his story. It was very good.

I had blonde streaks put in my hair, and it turned out awful! It looked like salt and pepper, and I looked much older. Two days later, he fixed it up. I now have red highlights, and it's not as noticeable, but better than the blonde! Blonde does NOT suit me!

I worked a casino on Friday from 10:30 am to 7:00 pm. It was my first time and I was amazed at how many people were there at 10 in the morning! They are serious people too!
I had an easy job, General Manager, very easy. Anyway, it was great getting to know other people from Junior Forest Wardens. I had a great time.

Thanksgiving was fairly quiet. Mom came over and that was it. I didn't cook a turkey, just a ham, and now I'm craving turkey leftovers. Wade and Tania went to the lake for Thanksgiving.
