Oct 2010 Update

It's almost been a year since I wrote and have to say that during that year things have been pretty good. Rob completed his 12 rounds (months) of chemo on Boxing Day 2009 and the quarterly MRI's have been good all along. The tumour had continually decreased throughout the year until we could barely see it on the June 2010 MRI. Rob has been pretty proud carrying his MRI pictures and showing everyone he meets the big decrease in his tumour. During this time he continued with his daily regiment of supplements 3 times a day, drank 3 litres of water, closely followed his diet, and said his affirmations & prayers every morning. He worked part time, and was assistant coach on Nicholas' hockey team, and assistant coach on Michael's baseball team. He never quit volunteering...any opportunity to volunteer he was there.

This time his MRI was extended to four months (Sept 2010) and the results weren't so great...good and bad. The original tumour doesn't seem to show anymore, but there appears to be something new showing in a different area. The doctor isn't totally sure that it is new tumour growth so Rob is to come back in two months for another MRI. I pray to God that it's not. Rob was disappointed with the news, but he's bounced back quickly and back at the rink!
